For me, functional fitness is a holistic training method that aims to optimally prepare your body for the demands of everyday life and sporting activities. The focus is on strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination.

Strong core muscles are important for preventing back problems and improving your overall posture. In my personal training sessions, we therefore place great emphasis on exercises that train the entire core - from the abdominal muscles to the back muscles and lateral stabilizers.

It goes far beyond just core training and focuses on strengthening the entire body. In functional training, muscles aren’t worked in isolation; instead, the body is trained as a whole, leading to a balanced and well-rounded musculature.

To specifically strengthen your deep muscles and further improve your stability, I place particular emphasis on intensive balance exercises. We often do these on the balance board to activate the muscles that are responsible for precise movements and inner stability. Through these specific training sessions, we not only promote your physical balance, but also improve your coordination and responsiveness.

Functional training helps you to perform movements more efficiently and safely, whether you are lifting weights, doing sport or in everyday situations. By specifically building up the core muscles and strengthening the deep muscles, you not only become more resistant to injuries, but also improve your general physical strength and mobility.
